USB connection

Postby wijba » Sat Sep 14, 2013 11:48 am

Hi, I want to install android om my HD2, but when I connect the USB cable to the phone on the red/green/blue screen, serial should be switching to USB, but that doesn't, it stays on serial. The phone is surely charging with the cable.

I can't als connect with windows phone to USB. Windows7 says USB device not recognized.

Who can help me, I'm sick of Windows Phone!!

Yeah, I know. I tried to find the right USB drivers, but they all don't work.

Is it possible that the MicroUSB connector is broken, or should then the charge also not work?

Yes, it could be broken, but more than likely your cable is the issue. Many are just for charging and don't supply all of the leads and connections required for data transfer..

Not too long ago I purchased an inexpensive cable and was having all kinds of trouble with it. It would charge fine, but not anything else. It turned out that the cable was only for charging and in my haste to purchase I didn't notice.

Also, they wear out with use so one that previously worked may later malfunction.

Try a different cable before doing anything else.

Hi,

Not a verteran in the game but with the sequence of issues faced while trying my first anroid just couple of days back. I faced this problem
1- Rapi.dll and ceutl.dll -- This issues for HSPL4 ( I downloaded and placed them in System 32 so this error is gone )
2-Now the same issue you mentioned occured to me that Serial to USB does not change. I tried with HTC Sync it all did not work. I thought should drop the idea of flashing anroid :( and get back to work. I never knew this forum .. in XDA some forum said "Microsoft-Windows-Mobile-Device-Center". Finally I found this in some web as I was not able to download from MS website. After instaling this it started detecting my device. I could see with anroid with help provided here from sernior members.

So most of the senior members suggested you stil please try this if you have not tried it might help.

Regards,
Saipra
