This ROM is based on stock Nexus One, including FRG83G OTA (Froyo / Android 2.2.2).
Kernel: tytung r2 oldcam (supports CIFS UTF-8, WiFi MAC address, Yaffs, Ext2/3/4) based on hastarin r8.6 oldcam.
Credits: Cotulla, TYTung, Hastarin, Markinus, Letama, Rajko, Gauner1986, RaiderX303, Dsixda, etc.

Screenshots for V1.9a:

1. Installation
===============
You should have at least MAGLDR 1.11 on device.
For installation you need to enter MAGLDR (hold "Power" button during boot)
and select "Flasher" via "VolUp" and "VolDown". Confirm key is green "Call" button.

2. Uninstallation
=================
You should flash stock official Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM.

3. Information
==============
This is based on stock Nexus One ROM except
blocking ads (hosts is replaced),
adding utility and root permission (busybox, su and Superuser.apk are added),
adding HSDPA and battery % icons (framework-res.apk is replaced),
adding 720p video playback (libOmxVdec.so is replaced), and
other necessary modification to make it working on HD2.

  • Everything should be working. (No new customized feature, e.g. FM Radio, will be added since this is ported from the official Nexus One ROM.)
  • CWM (ClockworkMod) Recovery for HD2 is integrated. (The NAND partition layout is ready for CWM when installing this ROM via DAF.exe.)
    It's time to learn the native Android update.zip installation and Nandroid backup and restore in order to update your system easily and safely.

Wow! I'm glad that someone is still interested in Froyo.
I might do it when I have time. Not top priority for me.

A huge fan indeed. :) Just out of curiosity, I noticed that almost all of your ROMs support NativeSD but only the latest ones support DataOnEXT. Is it more difficult to support DataOnEXT?

Only Tytung can answer you for sure soren, but if I'm not mistaken it could just be a matter of the time-frame in which he developed the various ROMs. The first Android ROMs for the HD2 were installed on the SD-card. This was because you had to first boot into windows, then using a hack launch android from within it, since there wasn't a bootloader yet for native Nand installs. Afterwards, when bootloaders arrived, development shifted towards native NAND installs. Which is why the HD2 android forums over at xda are divided separately into nand and SD development. DataOnExt was a more recent advancement that was an offshoot (variation, extension) of Apps2SD, which came after the HD2 already had well established native SD and NAND development.

So my take (and I'll repeat just conjecture on my part) is that this ROM was developed before the other methods became readily available and since there wasn't much demand for it as folks moved on to newer versions, he never went back to incorporate the alternative installation methods. I hope this helps.

Ciao
