Hello everyone!

Currently I have HTC HD2, with tytung's Gingerbread ROM on it, and it works flawlessly!!!!

But recently I have had two malfunctions on device, my flashlight diode is broken, volume up botton does not respond...and on the top of the things, my touchscreen is not responding always like it should. So i have decided to, ungladly, get rid of this device, and aquire something else.

So, I am asking you for some suggestions, should I buy another HD2, or there is something similar, BUT THE THING IS THAT I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE NEXUS ANDROID ON IT!

I was considering Google Nexus One, what do you think?

Please, give my your suggestions!

Thanks.

If you prefer tytung's ROMs then at this time you would do best to get another hd2, there is nothing similar.
The N1 is also an old device and has only had ports of tytung's hd2 roms.
However, tytung now has a N5, and may start development for it.
So, up to you ;)

Good advice. Robbie.

To the OP, in addition to what Robbie said let me add, it depends on where you're located and your budget. The problems you describe as having can be repaired for less than a used replacement HD2 or another newer device. Due to the HD2's popularity they fetch a premium used. In fact, my newer and more powerful Amaze was 50 bucks cheaper than any quality used HD2 I could find.

A replacement digitizer and main ribbon connector (for volume control) can both be had for around 50 bucks online, but the labor to install them will be at least that amount as well. It's not an easy do it yourself fix, as that's how I ruined my HD2. So if you can take it to a shop and get it repaired for $100 US you're still getting off cheaper than a nice condition used one.

If you're thinking of a new replacement, my choices would be either an unlocked Nexus 5, Moto X, Moto G, or Google version HTC One. You can't go wrong with any of them.
Current device: HTC Amaze 4G
Bootloader: HTC - Dev unlocked, S-on
Recovery: 4ext - smart flash enabled
ROM: CM-10 - Compiled and customized by me - thanks spostsstar89 - CM - Team Nightmare
Xposed framework - rovo89
GravityBox - C3C076

Previous device: HTC HD2 (TMOUS - LEO1024)
Final ROM: NexusHD2-JellyBean-CM10.1.3 v2.7 - Tytung
Had more lives than a cat, best handset I ever owned
Lesson: If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
RIP
