Last time I worked with tytung to resolve this. But we realized that Evervolv integrated ion in the kernel. That was the main reason this decode/recording didn't work.

When I get some free time, I can join you guys to fix this long pending issue for desire/nexus one with the help from tytung

Currently I think ION is not yet implemented in evervolv KK builds and they still use pmem. Hoping you to join your forces with tytung and help us in desire community. Thanks in advance.

Hello @tytung can you share the code/commit to enable OMX decoding support? I want to build libmediaplayerservice.so and libstagefright.so with OMX support but I found a lot of commits about that on differents repos... That might help us to get (at least) HW video decoding for the Desire and maybe N1. Thanks in advance.

Check Legacy QCOM OMX Mods for how to fix 720p HW video decoding.

If you just need the .so library files, try the .so files in my latest KK ROM.
In other words, download Desire_720p_Video_Playback_for_CM-11.0_update.zip and replace .so files in the zip file with my .so files in my latest KK ROM.

I was trying to compile files for 720p for HD2. And also trying to fix kernel 3.0.xx to playback.
I may have found a forked version of IntersectRaven Kernel

branch is ir--Kernel

Not sure it is the same kernel rep that you were looking for but I think it is this one (ir-kernel ir=IntersectRaven
