Postby chaudhary9 » Mon Sep 09, 2013 8:45 am

as the title states, can hd2 play latest games like asphalt 7 8 etc
and which size memory card can it handle easily 8/16/32gb?
i was planning to get class 10 card but now i might go with class 4,what is the benefit of higher class cards, high transfer speed?because if that's the only one,i can live with current transfer speed

I suppose it depends on the game...

As for the card, it can use up to 32 GB cards without major problems and even up to 64 GB if you reformat it to FAT32. The difference between Class 4 and 10.. You should spend more time reading as you are asking for a lot of info. Check the SD link in my signature if you really want to know. ;)

Cheers!

If you can afford it, go for a 32 GB Class 10 non-UHS SDHC card. Class 10 pretty much maxes out the HD2's SD write speed which is ~10 MByte/sec. SDHC is specified up to 32 GB and non-UHS will ensure full compatibility and best speed of the card with HD2. A UHS card would be a gamble if it works and can lead to frozen phones (doesn't wake up anymore), reboots and other stability problems.

how to check if card is non uhs n sdhc?
if write speed is good,it means things will open faster, better response etc or what because those things are linked with ram which is limited to 512mb

also if i get a class 4 card, then still do i need to check non uhs n sdhc?
i dont see any such thing on the packing or on the card

UHS and non-UHS is written in article description. If in doubt, consult manufacturers' datasheets or merchant. HD2 can have said compatibility problems. UHS are backwards compatible, but NativeSD is demanding very precise compatibility. You always should check for UHS/non-UHS. Class 10 is better than Class 4 e.g. when you start large applications like Sygic navigation.

Some people shoot videos with their HD2, how about write speed and write speed leg room now? Rhetorical question.

Until the SD interface maximum transfer capability is reached. Class 10 chips are sometimes also newer, smaller chip structures with better power consumption when idle. People who come here and flash NexusHD2 into their HD2 are by definition power users, who want to get the maximum out of their HD2. The stable maximum known to me is what I recommended, I was not wrong.

mostly kingston cards are available here,n i think they would be non uhs since i am using one, which i used with native sd as well
though i have one micro sd card which came with nokia set and has nokia written on it,i tried that card with hd2 and hd2 could not read that card which is quite strange, maybe if i format it to fat32 then it might

is uhs and non uhs related to company or it can vary with memory size as well like 8gb might be non uhs but 16gb, a uhs one

and is uhs and non uhs only in class 10 or in class 4 as well

i checked data sheet now
http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/sdc10_en.pdf
seems only class10 has uhs and its showing uhs only,so its either uhs or non uhs?
Image

even for sandisk i can only find uhs written but non uhs no where :S

or maybe its that a card which is not uhs is non uhs but how will i know that,i think uhs wil be written on the card
now since i saw a table so that made it clear
class 6 8 10 n uhs,so uhs > class 10 (non uhs)

uhs class 10 is 3 times faster than normal class10 but well hd2 is old so it wont be compatible i guess

-----

this is confusing again
http://www.galaxy.com.pk/kingston-memor ... ss-10.html
though from info on page it seems its non uhs but the kingston link they have added says uhs,and i dont want to spend that much to end up with non compatible card :(
