I use cLK and wifi has been working very well.
As for tethering, i dont have a 3g internet plan on my phone..
Creating a wifi hotspot works though (i didn't manage to play a wifi-multiplayer game, probably the games fault).

Yup, the hotspot turns on (so does the wired tether too), and the computer gets connected, gets the IP address from the phone - but it is not able to browse the internet through the phone's 3G. I haven't given much of a dig into that, yet though and wanted to see if it is something I've done or if anyone else saw this happening to them too :)

+1

I have NativeSD; when setting up WIFI hotspot with security "none" or "WPA PSK" or "WPA2 PSK" always the PC or another WLAN device connects without being prompted to enter the WPA/WPA2 password to the HTC HD2 but no connectivity to the internet is given.

Is there probably something related to the APN and the carrier "allowing" tethering? I never had that issue (I'm still still with the same mobile carrier while using ICS or JB from Tytung - that issue I only see in KK.)

Bluetooth

Postby benlm72 » Fri Mar 28, 2014 11:22 am

Hi,
I'm using MyPhoneExplorer with BT. My problem is that I loose the connexion between my phone and my PC after some time (I mean I can connect my PC to my phone several times, but after a while connexion fail, appairing is still OK but outgoing port cannot be opened from the PC). No file transfer can be done in this case.

Does anybody notice this problem ?

Wifi Tethering

Postby benlm72 » Fri Mar 28, 2014 11:30 am

Hi,
I want to share my data connexion with wifi tethering. Nor native tethering nor Wifi Tether app work for me. With native tether, I see the AP from my other device but I get no internet acces from it (with a Windows device, I see my AP as "limited"). With Wifi Tether, I can not see my AP (Wifi Tether starts but fails to run some services, as shown in the capture joined).
I've checked that my modem option is activated with my Service Provider.
Is there some special settings to have in the phone (like dun for APN type, for example) ? With Wifi Tether, should I have to change the device type ?
Thank's for any help !

No, it is not related to APN or carrier.

I tried with wired and wireless tether apps too with similar results.

I will take a logcat next time I try to tether, and hopefully @tytung can figure it out :)

I also use MyPhoneExplorer but do so using either WiFi or USB with no issues. Your best best might be to contact FJ Sofware Development directly at http://www.fjsoft.at.

Here is a logcat with native tethering : http://pastebin.com/RAC9Z43J
And of wifi tethering : http://pastebin.com/3LRL3avj
@tytung : if you could have a look to these logcats and see if you find an explanation to my problem, many thanks !

Re: [Feb. 16, 2014][ROM][KK][4.4.2][720p] NexusHD2-KitKat-CM11.0 V4.4 [Kernel: tytung_jellybean_r2]

Hi
This ROM is working like a charm on my HD2.
However, I have a question: as I don't have unlimited data plan, I want to use a software on the phone that counts data transfert. I tryed several (such as traffic monitor, my data manager) but none of them provide accurate information on data use (the counters are always showing 0 even if I perfom some internet access using 3g connection).
I wonder if someone has faced this kind of problem or has tested a software that works properly (the software I tested as supposed to be compliant sur Android Kitkat).
I know that Android provides screen that shows data consumption but I'd like to have a widget showing the informations as well as alarms when consumption reaches my data plan limit.
Thanks for reply and thant also to tytung for his great job on our HD2.

I have two SD cards, both with NexusHD2-KitKat, first with v.4.3, second with v.4.4
I use internet call using the CSipSimple on HTC HD2 v.4.3 and it works proper.
But it doesn't with v.4.4.
Connections are established but no audio (both ways) are listen.
Strange is recording is working proper.
All settings (CSipSimple) the same on both SD's, I've event tested it on my both HTC HD2, results were the same.

Device: HTC HD2 (LEO512)
HSPL: 2.08.HSPL
