Try to use Nova or Apex launcher. You can change the number of colum and row on desktop, and of course the gaps will be removed.

Hi Everyone,

I see lot of ppl are complaining this is not working n that is not working..

I have been using tytung kitkat since v4.0, v4.1 n now v4.2
and here is my report of what works n what doesnt..

ART works fine for me.. have been using and experimenting with it..
I dont know abt VIBER but skype and LINE works awesome..
I havent encountered with black screen even once till now..(all aps disabled in HWA)
GPRS works fine, the up n down arrows doesnt show..
Low sound fixed popup is displayed for the first call after booting.. and never again pops up..

and LAST.. The Kitkat is way smoother then even FROYO for me.. (M not exaggerating) n m in totally love with it..

TYTUNG thanks for your efforts and hardwork and keeping our HD2 alive and making us taste KITKAT..

You are Great.. :)

Hello Together,
Happy new Year - and thanks for this great Rom!!

I only have a short remark: browser sync didn't work! Is there a guide to repair?

Greetings from Germany

I am running the latest version too with no issues. If you encounter bootloop with ART, you might be hitting the out of RAM issue i posted few pages back. In fact, when I upgraded to 4.2, it got stuck first in bootloop too, so I simply adb'ed to it and saw it was compiling the packages again. So enabled swap on the fly via adb (see my post before) and viola, I got it to boot fine again. I then continuosly monitored the RAM usage (logcat, free, etc) and did notice Leo was indeed struggling (runninng gc there and there). So i determined the greedy apps (either use some system monitor or "adb procrank -u") and uninstalled them. I also went over the running apps and deactivated some of them (those I considered not needed). The phone runs much smoother now. If only there was a hardware mod to increase the RAM :)

Now the phone is running smoothly.

Thank you for your feedback. Am actually experiencing the same thing where switching to ART takes over 30 minutes. However as soon as the process completes mine reboots and thats when it fails to get out of the reboot loop. Think I will clean my Sd side and try again. will report back.

By the way have you noticed any performance enhancement and better battery economy with ART as suggested ? Thx

Cant put Moboplayer to HWA settings, also cant use youtube with HWA which we already knew, but can it be fixed in later release of Kitkat? Cause if yes, this would be the best ROM ever (cause of all the free RAM)!

Thanks tytung.

how to change softkey dpi?because after change system dpi to 160 the softkey are too small

The dimensions of the various elements of the framework are set at compile time. You have to modify the source code and recompile.

I made a version of the softkey mod for people who change their dpi to 160, which appears to be somewhat common. Personally, such small screen elements are way too much eye strain for me.

Download this file and flash it: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/22856583/NexusHD2-KK_V4.2-SoftkeyMods_160dpi.zip. It increases the navigation bar height from 24 dpi to 36 dpi, which is about the same ratio as going from 240 dpi to 160 dpi.

Thanks to Tytung and everyone who contributes in one way or the other to get this ROMs made.

I have installed the version 4.2 as NativeSD on my LEO Euro Version and do like it very much.
However I have been trying for days now after the installation to get the data access over Mobile network to work without success.
There is however no connection problems over WiFi.
Most of the Apps I have tried including Play Store, Web browser and WhatsApp worked over WiFi without issues but always fail over Mobile network.
I currently live in Brazil and use the provider TIM.

So far all my configurations for the data usage have failed.
In the Mobile Network settings both "Data enabled" and "Date roaming" are all enabled (checked).
I have also tried different configurations for the APN and none of them yielded the desired result.
The same SIM Card was put back in the HTC Wildfire S I was previously using to check the APN settings.
I transferred the settings from the Wildfire S to the NexusHD2 Build and yet could not get the connection to the mobile network to work.
I have also tried some Apps like Tweaker APN and APN Brazil still no data exchange over the Mobile network.

Tips and tricks to help resolve this issue are very welcomed.

Also I will appreciate it very much, if there is a member here on this board using the same provider TIM Brazil with a working data usage over the mobile network could share his settings with me.

Thanks.
