It was ok for me as long as the data was working with mobile and wireless network.

With the minor update for v4.3 released by Tytung on 21.01.2014 to resolve the SD folder access issue with the FileManager, I decided to jump on the train, downloaded the package and installed it over the older release. This again broke the data transfer over mobile network.

I tried several installation flavours without success and finally settled with the v4.3 release from 19.01.2014 and by replacing the initrd.gz in the NativeSD folder with the version from the KK v4.2 release to resolve the Folder access problem as suggested by someone in the earlier posts.

So this is my procedure for those that might be having the same issue with this ROM (Everything on NativeSD):

1. Installed JB v3.3 with PPP option and with complete wipe of the caches (otherwise the phone might remain in continues reboot after installing the ROM and starting Android).
2. Checked and made sure the few apps I needed like Whatsapp and Mail Exchange were working.
3. Updated my contacts with Local Sync or Import from Backup on the SD card with the in build People app
4. Installed KK v4.3 release 19.01.2014 over the JB v3.3 with PPP but without wiping of the caches.
5. Tested to make sure mobile data was working fine, as this is my primary use of the phone besides making and receiving some few calls.
6. Rebooted and while in WinMob 6.5 copied the "initrd.gz" from the KK v4.2 package over to overwrite the one from the v4.3 installation in the NativeSD folder. With this there is not issue with accessing the SD card

Now the version 4.3 release 19.01.2014 is working fine for me with both data over mobile and wireless.
I needed this version baldly as the JB v3.3 was draining the battery faster than the KK

Since the KitKat roms (all versions 4.?) are stored in a different subdirectory from the JellyBean roms (all versions 3.?) you could as well have started from step 4 above, and ignored steps 1-3. If you proceed as explained above, then you will end up with both a JB v3.3 rom and a KK v4.5 rom in different NativeSD subfolders, and you can switch between these two roms by using e.g. the NateivSDMutliBoot app. And the first time you install a NativeSD KK rom it does not matter if you do it "clean" or not, since the newly created directory where this is stored is empty anyway. It only matters if you first install e.g., v4.1, and then update it to v4.2 or v4.3.

After Tytung's fix of v4.3 on January 21 there is no need to copy the old "initrd.gz" over the one that comes with the KK rom. (This is the version that you now get when you download the v4.3 rom today.)

I myself did a "dirty" update from KK v4.2 to KK v.4.3 (version January 21) today, and it seems to work OK:
Device: HTC HD2 (LEO512) T8585
Radio: 2.15.50.14
Nand: Original factory WM 6.5
Recovery: 4EXTRecovery
Bootloader: Original factory boot loader (I use haret to boot NativeSD android roms)
NativeSD: NexusHD2-KitKat v4.3, NexusHD2-JellyBean v 3.3, NexusHD2-ISC v 3.0b, etc.
SD card: SanDisk 32Gb class 10 UHS1 or Transcend 32Gb class 10 no UHS
SD partitions: 21Gb vfat, 8Gb ext4, 500Mb swap

I need a litle help. This rom is very Smooth, and normally i use the "Next Launcher" but this time i'll try to use the Kit Kat default Launcher. But in this Launcher i can't delete any icons. Is this an error or how can i delete them?

Thanks

Hi again.

I did so many testes till i found the strange solution to delete icons in Home Screens (Kit Kat default Launcher).

So, if selected Google Search Bar to display, when drags an icons, appears the delete option on top of the screen; if not selected Google Search Bar to display, when drags an icon doesn't appears the delete option on top of the screen. :!:

This is very strange to me. :o Can someone confirm if this is only my problem or if is a generic problem in this rom. :?:

Thanks

No... it's not just yours. Mine was the same so I added the Google Search Bar back as well. As a guess, I would say it's something for the CM guys to fix, not Tytung.

i'm using 2.15.50.14, this is the first time i have so many probs, never had a problem like this before.

stay to 3.3 for the moment, if you could explain me how can i transfer the SMS from the old rep to the new one, it could be nice.

Because i'm trying some apps to backup SMS/MMS but no one can do it perfectly

Or perhaps Tytung can add an option into the Aroma to rename the old rep to migrate easier ?

Regards.

. Flash back the ROM when the first instructions appear it says choose'full install'&custom install',click custom installation navigate the app call DSP manager click and continue the installation. This problem always happen if you use native SD. But no problem in nand+data on ext4
