Thanks olof and dumforgaming for your replies. But my issue is not about SODs or broken power button.

Suppose, when i press the power button to unlock the phone, the screen wakes up perfectly and all the buttons also works perfectly (vol,back,power,etc). But the touch doesn't responds. I have to lock it back and wait for sometime or remove the battery.

I hope the problem is clear now.

You are right - it is *not* the power button itself that is giving you a problem. It is a part called the touch screen digitizer which is located directly under the power button. The digitizer is needed to recognize when you touch the screen.

A digitizer takes an analog source and converts it to a digital signal. For example, when you convert an old vhs tape to CD or DVD a digitizer takes the image and pixelates it through many processes along with changing the audio from an analog source to digital.

This part, unfortunately, is known to die in the HD2. I also have 2 of them with bad digitizers but otherwise working okay.

Do a quick search on eBay or Amazon for HD2 DIGITIZER and you will find them, most are inexpensive. Unfortunately, it is tricky to replace them without damaging something else (you can also find videos on YouTube showing you exactly how it is done).

Because the digitizer is located under the power button pressing hard on the button will make it work a few times when the part is *starting* to fail. Once it fails completely nothing but replacement will correct the problem.

Lets wait and watch. I know some repair shops which can replace it if it fails permanently.

I resize system partition in magldr to 350 .... 400 gives me error.
what cache i will use ? default in program is 45 in mb ...

i want to know if 350 with 45mb cache is correct for NAND ?
in sd card 8gb i create 3,3gb fat32 primary 32cluster and 4gb primary ext default caluster is correct ? i need to put data name ?

im runing now android

How to preserve the digitizer? Not to press the power button?

System partition 400 MB and cache partition 5 MB should be fine.

I suppose.. At least in theory. I was using Button Savior to avoid most power button presses but I doubt that all presses can be avoided. In the end, my screen stopped responding anyway eventually.
