HTC HD2 problem with HSPL

Postby samnie » Sun Feb 16, 2014 9:33 pm

Hi!

Some time ago i installed all the things on my HD2 in order to install the android OS. I installed the radio, the HSPL, the aMagldr..... Everything was fine, i was always changing between android and windows, depending on my mood until one day i had to replace the Lcd screen, i did it myself, no problem... I had an android rom installed when i replaced the screen and since then i can't access the HSPL screen, That colorful screen that you access by pressing volume down + power button...
so, that is my problem, i am stuck with android (Only old versions like 2.2) because i can't go back to windows without accessing that colorful screen because it is needed to sync.

I already bought a new volume flex, tried the red button near the battery... I just can't access that screen anymore.

I would appreciate very much some help

best regards

Have you tried flashing an official ROM for the device to restore everything to factory fresh status? That should overwrite everything, including the boot loader.

Cheers!

Thank you for your reply!

That is exactly the problem, in order to install the official rom i need to access the bootloader. The bootloader will sync my device with the computer.
But that's the problem, since i replaced the screen, I can't access the bootloader (I don't know if it has something to do with it).
I don't know what's wrong, when i press and hold the volume down + power button (to access the bootloader) it is like i am not pressing the volume down, it just loads the android rom like i am not pressing anything or if i am holding the volume down and the power button too, it just loads the aMagldr menu...
at first i thought that was something wrong with my volume controller, even though it was working fine doing its job, but now i replaced the volume flex, hoping to solve the problem but... still can't access the bootloader

Not sure if I have seen that myself but the keys can at times make a difference. Have you tried (from power off position) holding volume down and power while pressing the reset button near the battery?

  • Place the LEOIMG.nbh on a 8GB or smaller microSD card. Must be in root.
  • Remove the battery cover and press the Reset button.Hold the Volume Down and End Call (power) buttons at the same time.
  • As soon as "Searching..." appears on the screen, release the Volume Down button.
  • ROM should flash. Be sure to hard-reset afterwards to prevent weird errors.

Sent from my Nexus 7

Cheers!

Yes , i have tried that but, i have tried it once again to make sure and no luck.

With the android rom installed, is there any way to install the HSPL on the device?

Well, if all this happened after the hardware changes I would check the volume key again. It almost sounds as though it is not working properly. I also seem to recall something about different versions of digitizers and touch screens being available for replacement where some acted different from the original ones. Unfortunately, I no longer have the HD2 to test with so all this is from recollection, sorry.

Cheers!
