If easier you can

rename /system/etc/hosts to hosts.ads

and rename

rename /system/etc/hosts.bak to hosts

You can do this in a file explorer and, if you ever want to do ad blocking in the future, reverse the names again.

I found a new problem in this rom.

before installing this ROM, I had made a backup from SMS messages via "SMS backup restore" software.

after ROM installation, when i restored SMS messages via this software all messages were gone immediately !!!

I tried several times but I couldn't restore my messages so I had to installed another ROM.

what is your idea?

[*]The required system partition size is as follows:
  • Full install: 320 MB
  • Minimum Install (i.e. custom install with everything unchecked): 305 MB
  • When installing this ROM to NAND, please use the following partition table size: show
    misc ya 1M
    recovery rrecov|ro|nospr 5M cwm_recovery_leo.img
    boot yboot|ro 5M
    system ya 320M
    cache ya 2M
    userdata ya|asize|hr allsize

How to change the partition size? I cant find fash.cfg... where is it?

You can format the ext4 partition on your SD card and try again. You will lose all data.

You can use HD2 NAND Toolkit. I recommend that you set the system partition size and cache partition size to 400 MB and 5 MB respectively.

Thank you for your reply, earlier I tried what was recommended by tytung (320MB/2MB cache/2GB ext4), and I my phone ended up booting with black screen and lighted up keys. Any ideas what I did wrong? (I have the 512 version btw)

Your HD2's NAND might have some bad blocks.

Alien_MM wrote:I have a big problem with my HD2. Yesterday I was connected to internet using wireless hotspot. The connection suddenly stopped, so I looked at HD2 and it was locked up.
So I removed and reinserted the battery, but shit happened - the phone is unable to boot up, it freezes during startup logo and restarts itself indefinitely.

I tried the following:
- a few times reinstall OS (SD-ext for data remained intact)
- tried NativeSD installation with data intact
- reinstall HSPL
- reinstall aMagldr
- reinstall stock windows (it was working!), then complete android reinstallation (freezes and restarts again)
- wiped SD-ext, reinstalled OS into NAND, no luck
- in one case the android was working when I installed NativeSD with erased SD-ext. After this I tried to recover SD-ext int TWRP and reinstalled NativeSD. No luck, again freezes and restarts.
- again wiped everything and done NativeSD, but with no luck
- wiped everything and installed NAND, no luck
- now when booting system from NAND, there is no even the startup logo, just HW buttons react to pushing with backlight. Screen is black and with backlight on.

Today I tried another SD card with the same ominous result.

At first I thought the NAND became corrupted, but I do not have any logical explanation since the android does not work even with NativeSD. Windows works perfectly, so what could be wrong?

Out of experience...it seems that for some users the v4.6 may have some installation bugs. These can vary from thermal heating up ,up to connection problems with other unknown issues.

After comparison with the v4.5 , it is found that the newer version weren't as stable as its older version. Through out the forum they have been many question about its performance.

In context....it is advised to removed the version 4.6 and update from the 4.5 to 4.7 if the screenshot option is an necessary. This can only be implemented from the 4.5 by accessing the menu.

Complete the action by using a clean installation ,copying the new 4.7 rom unto the SDCard and run the installation through MAGDLR.

Let us know if any issues persists
