Have you turned off the animator duration in the developer options by chance? If it's set lower than 0.5 the dial pad will misbehave as you describe.

Thank man.

Increase animator duration to 0.5 & the dial pad return.

I think moderator take this tip or something like this to FAQ or Tips & Trick topic.

You're welcome :)

It can occur on other ROMs and phones too, I already made a post on page 168 about it to help another user. Unfortunately another forum member (Wizzard) has posted much later telling people to disable all the animations to improve performance. He also complained about the dial pad, so I had a feeling it might crop up again as some people may have taken his advice.

Getting non Uhs cards is really hard (here in Germany) You won't find a 64GB non uhs card, And getting a fast 32Gb non uhs card will probably get more difficult in future.

Just for the records: It's a Transcend Extreme-Speed Class 10 microSDHC 32GB card for less than 20€.

I am using this card MicroSDHC Toshiba 16GB UHS-I 30Mb/s class 10 , It's selling price is ≈ 9$ ( where I live :D )

My HD2 is smoother to use, each offense is pretty hot machine when using certain applications for quite some time (1h- 2h).

It is indeed part of the animation speed up in viewing the dialpad ,however the settings given at that time were initially test's that were on going as in to speed up the desktop transition. Disabling the other settings lets your desktop acquire a bit more speed in accessing and switching back to the homescreen.

Thanks for sharing your findings

It will be more helpful if the troubles your having are better specified my friend.

Given the reason of doubt...if its not the rom then you may need some technical repair as in a new screen digitizer and button set for your HD2. These are available over the internet and can be repaired at many smartphone shops ,or with a bit of patience and knowledge of the matter repaired by your self. If you have any questions about this matter ,view the link in this post.

No however, don't try and save face :x You said you had, I quote "tested these settings over and over" and encouraged people to try your settings for better performance from your findings. When you eventually found the VERY annoying dial pad issue, you passed it off as a bug in earlier ROM versions too........a simple search here for "dial pad" would have uncovered my post predating your advice and I'm pretty sure you broke the dial pad tinkering with the HWA settings too iirc, suggesting turning them all off gave performance gains.

IMHO many of the issues or "bugs" you are reporting are from changes you are making to the device and you appear to recommend these changes in haste to others (granted it's their choice to copy you). I'm concerned your phone "thermally shuts down" when it's "On demand", I have no such issue on the stock battery even when overclocking on that governor. You have recommended upgrading to your larger mAh battery but I'm questioning it's quality now personally. Then again maybe it's also because you have forced 4X MSAA which will increase battery drain (and if anything should hurt performance) but now I'm starting to make assumptions which I don't want to be dragged into making because you have made so many changes :(

I want to thank Tytung for supplying the ROM as is and all his other contributions, I was disgusted how he was treated at XDA :( and thanks to the mods for their patience and help they provide :) I only really come here looking for updates to the ROM, yes I have made some tweaks (that I won't list) but I've done so at my own risk and made these changes one at a time to save headaches......google/search bars and patience have always been my friend :)

HWA settings were not thinkered...at all ,but merely the applications running faulty has been unclicked from this setting and working perfectly. The dial pad issue where something that came abroad in version 4.6 with out even doing any setting changes at all. the settings where tried and it still persisted. Adding the " Disable HW Overlays " stops the shaking keyboard. Force 2d helps with goolgle maps rendering. It is known that some applications does not work perfectly with the HWA settings so these are unchecked from the options. In version 4.7 this action was not needed ,assuming that users would rather test the rom first with out making any changes i have not mentioned to not to do so.

The larger battery capacity is in order to have a longer usage of the phone rather with or without any changes made. Having many social network applications running do drain the battery ,a larger capacity is what may be of some help. It is know that the battery of the HD2 was never intended to work on a boost performance than only for the Win6.5 system which is much light weighted than Android. The many system settings (system deamons) running in Androids core leads to a very quick discharge compared to the Win6.5. The battery in question is used by me and with a charge time if not being online with data..... 3 days!!.

Over clocking the phone was never done ,franctly it was reduced to On Demand processor speed. By doing this i have experienced the phone heating up and turned off. There wherent no changes other than this done.

The settings of the Force 4x MSAA ( antiliasing ) can be triggered but has a benefit indeed now uncovered ,these are frame rate and speed and sharper edges and fonts. However its benefit can be seen into high end gaming purposes as intended for gaming performance mainly ,can be used as well for the sharper screen image. So indeed it may have some battery issue cause of the sharper rendering but never a phone overheating. I use this daily setting on the phone so there is no question about faulty performance ,if this option is not needed for this I can say its better to use the Force 2d ratherly or if your wishing a sharper image to use then the Force 4x MSAA option.

There aren't no faces to save my friend...am here to help just like you I hope and if my methods weren't practical then yes...it is for a member to appoint this and by doing the test ,either trying or explaining rather than to target each other.

I hope this explains what I have done. Beer is on me

My 1st post here.

I wonder if an old class 2 sandisk 16gb microsd card would allow this rom to work
Also have an 8gb microsdhc UHS-I class 10 but is stated would not be fine in the first post.

I suppose but it would be VERY slow. You might want to look at something like the Samsung Class 6 instead...

Cheers!
