when I do that, does it overwrite the present folders such as download, pictures, music, DCIM? Do I lose all the contents in those folders?
will I have to reinstall the programs installed on v 4.3?

Nope, you set everything up like you gonna use 4.3 version and than flash/upgrade to v4.4 and all your apps and data will be intact. In this case you're upgrading only the system part, no wipes needed. Simple as that.

No need for that at all, since this is just an upgrade without factory reset and wiping data/cache. On the other hand, it's advisable to make backup of your files on your PC just in case, especially if you suffer from f l a s h i t i s like I do.

An intra-system problem, when I executed screenrecord command with format:
Code: Select all
adb shell screenrecord --size 480x800 /data/local/tmp/output.mp4

it did't work and outputted in prompt:
Code: Select all
ERROR: unable to create encoder input surface (err=-38)

Related logcat messages is:
Code: Select all

I'm considering that it's not issue comes from HD2 porting but from CyanogenMod side.

Hi tytung, I have the same problem - I tested it with application called "Mirror" from developer of clock work mod recovery. I can't record. Can somebody try it too?

Can anyone tell me the procedure to update the rom from v4.3 to 4.4.
As I have always done fresh install so bit confused about updating.

I'm fairly new to updating too. So the next time the phone reboots, it will reboot into 4.4 right? Just making sure before I do this.
Also, can I use 4ext Recovery instead of CLK?
