Good day friends,

Many of you have been waiting on a update from the v4.7 to v5.0 for the HD2. Our head developer has not given any reason to believe that the developing of the HD2 Android 5.0 has been stopped. Therefore we can only hope that this will be launched in due time and your contributions do help as well.

As for the CM11.0 v4.7 there are some small things you can do in order to get that function ability as in the Android 5.0. Note that some changes are due by Google developers for all devices running on the 4.4.4 rom.

Updates to android 5.0 for the Nexus HD2 in Googleplay:
Google Calender v 5.0.1 1638276
Google Gmail v5.0.1 1642443
Google Keyboard v4.0.21203 1613964 ( interface can be changed into the v5.0 update)
Google Play Services v6.5.99 1642632-034
Google Play Store v5.1.11
Google Maps v9.3.0

All system updates for android are applied with version 5.xx and with the new interface for the Nexus HD2.
The following settings are applicable for those who are experiencing problems with the CM11.0 v4.7 ,installed in NAND with Data on EXT4

Go to " Developers Mode "Settings to invoke the change.

Problems playing copyright movies on your device: disable the HDCP checking for copyright protection.
Bluetooth transmission to slow and laggy : enable the bluetooth HCI option
Windows animation and transition to slow : Lower the "window animation and Transition animation" value to 0.5x
Google maps not showing or hangs : Activate "Force GPU rendering" and "Disable HW Overlays".

For those who are experiencing GPS location problems ,I have written a help algorithm to use in the following fix.
Make sure you have root control activated in your file explorer to make the necessary changes.

Copy this code into a text file and name it GPS_Allocation.txt , go to the ntp site http://www.pool.ntp.org/zone/
At zone/ you should add your country e.g: NL Europe. Load the text file into your device and open it with file explorer
"note editor". Copy the code entirely and close the the editor.
Go to : /Device/System/Etc and scroll untill you find "gps.conf" and open this with the "note editor" again and paste the code that were copied. Safe the file and reboot the device. You should have a aGPS lock with in less than a minute the first time.

For the moment ...the ROM works perfectly if no other additions ( widgets) are applied to it ,making the user experience less problematic and erroneous. Head developer Tytung is a very busy person i have been told, so the most possible scenario will be that the ROM may be later than we expected. My apologies for the late reply to every one who mailed and questions concerning the information above. At the moment am programming my Banana Pi with android 4.2 ,need less to say that I will be busy as well but never to much to reply back.
Have a great weekend guys....with lots of beer

Gladly to help out , do remember that additional data cost may apply once using this. My advice is to state a certain data plan in order to avoid this mather or use a equivalent type of device that works directly with out aGPS support. The location algorithm is basically to show your location and synchronize google android system applications.

Nevertheless it is also possible to navigate with it in real time.

1. Change your recovery partition size to 8 or 10 MB.
Although this has nothing to do with your problem it will save you some problems in the future if/when you decide to update your recovery to a newer version.

2. Increase your system partition size from 320 to 400 MB.
This *should* fix your boot problem.
Keep in mind that when using DataOnExt all NAND space following the system partition is unused anyway so you can use as much as you wish to.

Cheers!

i have a problem when installing v4.7

i try nand with data on ext method

using hd2 toolkit, i use the partition that recommended

320 mb partition size
and 5mb cache, because 2mb is not allowed and 5mb is minimum

the problem is my HD2 doesn't reboot to android, it keeps a white/black screen for a long time so i have to pull the battery out to shut it down

what sould i do?

*well after try to change the system partition to 400mb and cache to 10mb, i still doesnt want to boot to android, it keeps running cyanogenmod logo/booting for a long time (more than 20 minutes)
