I installed newer version and it said my device not suppported. Is it normal?

Well, I tried v1.0.2 in a GingerBread Android emulator only.
I will flash my GB ROM to check the logcat when I have time.

Hello,

I upgraded to the newer version of AGPS Injector as soon as I got the update notification from Play store.

Performed an upgrade from v1.0.1 to v.1.0.2, and I still received the same error message "AGPS data injection is not available in this device" popping up when I try to perform injection.
For the sake of clarity, I tried a couple of things in between:
- removed and re-added the widget
- performed reboot
- uninstalled the upgraded version, installed v1.0.2 from scratch and tried injecting AGPS data
none of which worked so far.

tytung, Is there anything else I help out with in troubleshooting this issue?

Could you post your logcat?
What's your phone configuration? Is there any network connection when you try to inject AGPS data?

NexusHD2 4.3, EU HD2

This app is designed for all brands of Android devices, but not all devices support AGPS injection.
In versions 1.0.1 and 1.0.2, I added the "not supported" message for other phones/devices that cannot inject AGPS data.
All versions of AGPS Injector Widget should be working fine if you install this app on HD2.

Did you run any apps, e.g., Google Maps, that uses GPS when doing the AGPS injection and seeing the "not supported" warning message?
Anyway, please post your logcat.

because the xtra data is valid for some days, it could be usefull store them in a file somewhere in the device and to be able to inject that data if you have no connectivity.
It could be usefull if you have to reset the device in a place without any network. (may be during a travel where you have high roaming costs but you can update the xtra.bin in your hotel via wifi....)

I have a new answer for your feature request.

• If you use MAGLDR bootloader, the injected AGPS xtra data is still valid after rebooting your HD2. So the network connectivity is not required.
• If you use cLK bootloader, the injected AGPS xtra data becomes invalid after rebooting your HD2.

It was my experience when I developed libgps.so for HD2. And I used cLK v1.4.0.1 at that time. Rick said that cLK lacks a feature (I didn't remember the exact name).

Sure, I am currently not at home so I used Catlog to grab a logcat, please check the attachment.

About "phone configuration", there is also a file included in the package with device information, but if you need any specific information, let me know and I'll fill you in.
As for network connection, the Wi-Fi is on when trying to inject AGPS data (I don't have nor use mobile data).

The "not supported" warning message is correct according to your logcat.
I don't know why the AGPS injection ( call force_xtra_injection() function ) is failure in your HD2.

09-21 20:22:35.224 D/AGpsUpdateService(17072): force_xtra_injection() = false

Calling force_xtra_injection() will return false in the following two situations.

• Your device indeed not supports the AGPS injection.
• Your device supports the AGPS injection but the GPS is used (i.e., the GPS engine is locked) when doing the AGPS injection.

I'm not sure which one matches your device.
