WiFi works well for me.
Please do a fresh/clean install.
Reset your WiFi router if required.

It seems that your HD2 has bad NAND block (mtd: erase failure at 0x08900000) on system space.
Please first try NativeSD to check if your issue is caused by NAND or not.

@tytung, I saw this accidentally the wifi seems to be kind of on for all the time, as it shows in here in the battery stats. I, most of the time use data during the day and night but still getting these stats, can you please clarify. Also, I am getting a max of 14-16hrs of backup / full charge.

I am confused. If not using wifi did you try to turn it off from settings GSM?

As of Android 4.3, Google is keeping Wi-Fi always on, even when you turn it off, to find your location from the nearest Wi-Fi networks. You can change this behaviour by going to Settings -> Wi-Fi -> Advanced and disabling "Scanning always available." I suspect this could be your problem with Wi-Fi being always on.

Yes it is turned off indeed, I turn it on only when I use it. Can you check with your phone as well?
