I should have mentioned that after installing v4.3, but before installing v4.4, make sure you boot v4.3 and go completely through the setup wizard. After it completes, then install v4.4.

long time admirer, first time poster.
i've been using the 4.2.2 since it came out and i just can't thank you Tytung enough for his work.

so, anyways, i tried upgrading to KK 4.3 a while back but found the wifi-tethering still broken,even using external apps, and browser gui issues (which i guess can't be helped), but i was wondering if there was any work-around for the tethering to work as it's a massive need for me.

or if possible, could anyone point me where i can look into the issue, if it's 'cause of the libs or something, so i could pretend to able to help fix it?

i install 4.3 with 300 for system and rom up and work.
recovery ----> wipe dalvik cache ----> install 4.4 and wait 15-20 min but rom doesnt up.

Resize your system partition to 400 MB and try again. No need to wipe Dalvik Cache.

On older roms we used to have lock screen widgets without having to maximise them thus keeping the normal unlock phone swipe button as the default view is this not possible with kitkat

You can try DashClock. It might work.

Just to convey smoothly updated from 4.3. to 4.4. wiped cache partition, no repartition at system:300 M and cache 45M. During install, wiped Dalvik-Cache. I wanted to shrink the Cache to 5M (smallest allowed in HD2 toolkit), but lazy thinking to reinstall a few apps manually. HD2 is running at 1190 MHz/384 MHz.
Not a sophisticated user, a few calls and text rarely. I can't really tell the difference between 4.3 and 4.4. Mainly using it as a Wifi hotspot for Samsung Note 8 which doesn't support Ad-Hoc. Wifi hotspot has been working satisfactory with some hiccups. I left wifi hotspot running during the day. Occasionally after waking the phone, no internet to wifi-connected Note 8. Sometimes, after sleep, the next wake, it works again. It would be nice to be able to remove cLock on the lockscreen, for it sucks battery when not readily getting the gps lock.
