When the keyboard is visible press the SwiftKey icon on the keyboard and select resize. Don't use Setup - do this from the keyboard itself (just bring it up in any app)

Re: Swiftkey Keyboard problem_only half of keyboard displayed

Postby asis » Wed Feb 26, 2014 8:36 am

Has anyone tried the "swiftkey Keyboard" with this ROM?
I have no problem with the swiftkey Keyboard with the JellyBean ROM but when tried it in KitKat, the keyboard is very big and only half of the keyboard is displayed.
I followed Nexus7's advise but it did not work (the keyboard downsized but only half of the keyboard is displayed).
Please help!

I'm using a HTC HD2 (LEO512) with NativeSD. I succeeded installing 4.3 (with PPP) and had mobile data working. After installing 4.4 (with no wipe) I don't have mobile data any more.

*#*#4636#*#* > "Phone info" shows:

GSM service: In service
GPRS service: Connecting (doesn't change)
Network type: HSDPA
...
PPP sent: 0 pkts, 0 bytes
PPP received: 0 pkts, 0 bytes

In 4.3 (where mobile data is ok) the above is:

GSM service: In service
GPRS service: Connected
Network type: HSDPA
...
PPP sent: -1 pkts, -1 bytes
PPP received: -1 pkts, -1 bytes

Prefered network type in 4.3 and 4.4 is set to: WCDMA preferred

Any idea?

The same failure at my Installation with NativeSD 32GB and WIn Mobile NAND (the same HW)

After ping test in *#*#4636#*#* > "Phone info":HTTP says: IOException.....
All unused APN profiles deleted, New APN profile saved. WiFi off.

Also I tried fresh installation both 4.4 over 4.3 with & and without wipe cache. Result is the same.
Mobile data transfer in Version KK 4.3 works without any problems.

Any sugestions welcome.

Rgds

Now i am ready with testing!

I try another SD Card ( my old one , 8MB Class 4) with the same partition -- First Fat32 ca. 5,4 GB then EXT 4 ca. 2 GB and now it work s !

Install DataOnEXT , System 360MB , Cache 5MB
Recovery TWRP Extended http://androidforum.tytung.com/extended-twrp-2-6-0-0-touch-recovery-for-the-hd2-leo-t42.html

No FC , Gapps all installed ...

So i think, there must be a Problem in Settings Links Ext 4 in SD Card , Device lost Link to Sd Ext ... You understand , what i mean ?

Happy Monday :D

Thanks,

okay so perhaps the SD card is buggy... damn..

Sounds like radio ROM issue, have you tried to change radio ROM from stock one ?

You have "Full" keyboard selected, not half of compact, yes?

Yes, the radio has been changed to 2.80 HSPL. Otherwise the version 4.3 would not be working, or am I wrong?

The error can be only repeated only with installation of the newest KK 4.4.
As an experiment, I downgraded to J.B 3.3, mobile data works perfectly, like as with KK 4.3.

I'm back now to KK 4.3 with LowSoundFixer moved to system/app director. Till now nor error report from LSF.

But I'm still wondering, why upgrade to 4.4 didn't work as mobile data concern.
I've have no experience in development. Maybe someone from this forum can find answer.

I want to post my issue again. I am hoping someone could answer.

The issue was, the mute button refuses to work for me when on call. When on call and press the mute button, I can still be heard by the other party. I am not new to this. I have 2 HD2s, one ROM installed via MAGLDR NAND with Data on Ext and the other installed via Haret on WM. The ROM is very smooth on both phones but can't use because of the mute issue on both. I use the phone on conference calls so I need the mute button to work. So I went back to my old reliable Dorimanx GB Rom for now.

Can someone test the mute button and report back? Not sure if my 2 phones are having issues or this is ROM related.

Thanks..

I have the same issue with v 4.2 and 4.4 on two devices.
