NexusHD2 Android Forum

I want to make a experimental native android rom, which is flashable via spl (leoimg.nbh method) like a windows mobile rom with kokotas lastest black lk. I can make recovery.img, boot.img files. But I dont know how to make system.img and userdata.img from a flashable zip. Can anyone help me about this project?

If you flash the zip to phone, then do a nandroid backup, you should get system.img I think.

I know CWR trick too. But Kokotas said to me it uses "dump_image" binary for boot and recovery partitions, "mkyaffs2image" binary for system and data partitions. So maybe cwr's system.img wont work. I will try 2 methods tomorrow and will write here status. Thanks for your help:D

I created a virtual machine and installed Ubuntu using VMware Player on Windows.
The virtual machine is very convenient.

It is a good idea, thanks tytung. But I aborted this project, because I couldnt compile Kokotos Black LK without any help. Maybe this will be inspire anyone.

I found a way finally. 4Ext Recovery backups were working with daf installer.
