Hi agbommarito,

Will the softkey mods install correctly on NativeSD if i patched the rom name with tytungs patch or do we need a special version for this?
Thanks.

The installer for the softkey mods searches for a ROM name match. So if you've changed the ROM name, the softkey mods will have to be similarly changed. Making the change would be fairly easy for you to do.

Unzip the softkey mods file. One of the folders is named "scripts" and in this folder there is a file named "ROM_NAME.prop". Edit this file and change the name to match your ROM. If you do this on a Windows PC, be sure to use a Unix compatible editor like Notepad++. Rezip the entire folder tree and the installer should now work for your modified NativeSD ROM.

Thanks for your answer. Can I just replace the "ROM_NAME.prop" with the one from tytungs patch?

Yes you can. The files have the same name and the same format.

Hi agbommarito, I installed your mod after changing ROM_NAME.prop variable to NexusHD2_JellyBean43, and I have the visible power key installed (magldr, NativeSD). But landscape softkeys are not showing up for me (enabled in aroma, tried twice). Am I missing something?
Edit; I just realised that you install only 1 mod at a time, it is the same app that is inserted (systemUI.apk), sorry, and thanks again.
Edit2; It still doesn't work if I uninstall powerkey mod and only install landscape mod.
looking at updater script..
ui_print("@ Copying files to /system partition...");

if file_getprop("/tmp/aroma/modtype.prop", "selected.1") == "1" then
package_extract_dir("framework-LandscapeSoftkeys", "/system");
endif;

if file_getprop("/tmp/aroma/modtype.prop", "selected.1") == "2" then
package_extract_dir("framework-Original", "/system");
endif;

if file_getprop("/tmp/aroma/modtype.prop", "selected.2") == "1" then
package_extract_dir("system-PowerButton", "/system");
endif;

if file_getprop("/tmp/aroma/modtype.prop", "selected.2") == "2" then
if file_getprop("/tmp/aroma/modtype.prop", "selected.1") == "1" then
package_extract_dir("system-LandscapeSoftkeys", "/system");
endif;

if file_getprop("/tmp/aroma/modtype.prop", "selected.1") == "2" then
package_extract_dir("system-Original", "/system");
endif;

endif;

firstly, the last block in red seems extraneous ;)
Secondly it seems whatever landscape option is chosen, the systemui.apk will be overwritten by the powermod or original systemui.apk
It might be better to have 4 systemui.apks
1 original
2 powermod
3 landscape
4 powermod & landscape
does this make sense?

Edit3; oops, i see how the red part works now, but can't see how both mods can be selected
Edit4; my brain hurts, as you can probably tell, I am not an expert in all this :oops:
HTC HD2 (EU)
SPL 2.08. HSPL3;
Magldr 1.13 thanks bepe & Cotulla
On NAND - WP7.8 pdaimatejam v8.8 thanks to pdaimatejam, DFT, YukiXDA, xboxmod etc
On SDcards - Numerous Android SD builds & NativeSD ROMs (Thanks boonbing, Xylograph, securecrt & Almighty tytung!)

I just tried the renamed V3.0 ROM (NexusHD2-JellyBean43) and got the softkeys to work. I did see another bug though. The power button disappears in landscape mode. There is probably some underlying change in the CM code base that did this, but I haven't found it yet.

To make things a little easier, I made a version of the softkey mods for the renamed ROM. You can download it from https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/22856583/NexusHD2-JB_V3.0-SoftkeyMods_43.zip.

I recognized the low speed when i downloaded an app from playstore. 1,5 MB within 9 Minutes. With NexusHD2 V2.6 downloading that file-size needed only seconds.
Downloading emails is very slow too. Some apps that need internet-connection are saying that there is no connection an get closed, even if mobile data is on.

Can anyone confirm slow mobile data?
I don't have unlimited data plan, so I mainly use WiFi.
Paste your logcat to GitHub Gist or any similar websites, and link it in your post if you need any help. (Don't forget to tell us your HD2 setup/configuration.)

Hi Tytung, I made two speed tests (Speed Test apk) and I'm facing half of the speed in downloads on 3G. I tested on Sunday and 30 min ago. I'll make another test tonight to double check if is a ROM or telecom issue. I'm using PPP.

Thanks for the great ROM!

I am not noticing any slowdowns, but I, too, mainly use WiFi.
