HI,

I have the same problem. Tried on two different HD2. Tried PPP and RMNET, but nothing... sometimes I get a small symbol G,E or H... but no connection on mobile data... On Windows Mobile it works. I don't know if it hs to do wit SPL. I have (S)SPL 3.03 instead of HSPL 2-08. But my Artemis ROM requires it.
Has anybody else an idea?

Thanks

Android on hd2 requires to have HSPL 2.08 - Tytung said it.

I don't think it's necessary. Actually, it's MAGLDR that requires HSPL 2.08.

Hey all,

what files specifically are required to get GPS to work. I get zero satellites found after several hours of waiting in the clear sky. I did modify the zip slightly to remove some featues I did not want/need, such as face unlock etc.

I did have a 'full' install before on my first test runs, but even there, I noticed a lot of reboots. The phone just lays on my table, and all of a sudden, it reboots. This happens about twice a day, anybody else notice that too?

Edit: Ok today, cloudy, behind a window, I do get a GPS fix, so on that point, ignore my post. I guess it does work, here I go thinking it was broken.

So overal quite happy with v3.2, going to see if I can easily upgrade to v3.3 without wiping my data and apps.

@tytung That said, I'm a little dissapointed that all of the gapps and propriatary stuff (I think those all come from the gapps package) are pre-included. That could get you in trouble even with google as I don't think you are allowed to do that. That said, there is an easy provision for that, gapps package is hosted and linked by CM so and can be nicely installed after this ROM image. Overal awesome job though tytung for keeping this ancient phone alive ;)

Well, I know pre-including gapps is not good. Although it's more convenient for users and every HD2 dev is doing it.
Anyway, HD2 community is not as big and famous as the whole CM community, so I guess Google don't care about us.

@oliver, the gapps issue has been well discussed on xda and other android forums. Google isn't the least bit interested in going after Tytung or other small-time developers, they're more concerned about the bigger projects like CM, PA, AOKP, PacMan, MIUI, Evervolv, etc... What these projects share in common is they have groups of developers working on multiple devices and some are doing it for profit like Cyanogenmod. Although this ROM is based on Cyanogenmod, it's not "officially" sanctioned or endorsed by them. In fact, they consider this to be a "legacy"' device and give no support other than a link to this "unofficial" site.

If you look at the various device forums on xda you'll find most ROMs include at least the basic gapps, and that it's the developers working in conjunction with the larger projects, like those previously mentioned that don't include them.

Technically, Google could go after someone like Tytung, but why? It would cost them many orders of magnitude more than they could ever gain in return. Google isn't stupid, they know it's a waste of time and resources, plus the negative publicity would outweigh whatever point they'd make in doing so.

Besides, in the case of the HD2, one could argue that this wasn't an Android phone to begin with, so every purchase an HD2 owner makes from the play store is one they never would have made if it hadn't been ported. It's beneficial and generates revenue for them to keep the status quo. That's the bottom-line.

I got on nativesd a while back, made it over to v3.3 jellybean and im happy about that but have questions to be resolved.
My total ram is arround 400mb. Why?
I want more of my sd card to be used for ram.
So i can lock apps in memory.

I messed up /system filesize? 200mb if not 150.
3gig ext4 and 1gig fat32.

Can i acces the nand as storage on nativesd?

Thank you for your good work!

Since N1 and Desire got Android 4.4 KitKat, it shouldn't be too hard for our HD2.
But I didn't have time to download CM 11.0 source code yet.

I'm busy on playing my new toy, Nexus 5, in my free time. :D
