The following method is used for applying the ScreenShot option in the Roms power menu.

1) Go to Settings
2) Select the directory called " Buttons "
3) select the directory "Power Menu"
4) assign the " ScreenShot " option

Turn off the Settings and return to the desktop of your phone ,"Press Hold " the powerbutton.
The "ScreenShot" option now appears in the phone's power menu.

This function is to be found under version 4.5 and 4.6

No. This setting isn't available on V4.6. That is why many users ask for it. Have you tried it on V4.6?

Hi tytung!!
I'm trying to compile a ROM 4.4.4 with 720p and video recording.

I want to know if this two files are compile by your sources or is it a proprietary files?
libOmxVdec.so
libOmxVidEnc.so

And If I suceed getting 720p or camcorder work, can I use these 2 files in my rom?

Hi Soren,

After installing the ver.4.6 i did noticed that the ScreenShot option was already activated in the power menu.
I have downgraded to 4.5 for the time and testing the 4.6 on another HD2 for the moment. So basically what I have written is based on what I have seen and done on both version. When installing the v.4.6 in custom install mode ,many options do not install, not only sound files and images.

After making a clean install process with Full install mode in Nand with Data on EXT4 ,i have noticed that a few options were added by. These options added where the following:

In the power menu:
Bug report (google bug report ,works only when profile is made with a GMail account)
Cyanogenmod account for bug trace and report ( needs to be activated from first boot )
Boot options for MAGDLR (needs to be activated from the settings menu )
Screenshot ( No action was made for this option ,came with the installation first boot)
Power off
Reboot
Expanded desktop
Airplane mode

My best guess is that a full and clean install can give these options ,so give it a try to see if am wrong.

I've attached a view from the v4.5 in order to give those still using the version a better view.

I'm using ver:4.4.4 clean instal and in butons no have option:power menu also i dont have option to deselect"airplane mode"

I have no interest to prove that you're right or wrong. Actually, you should try it because you have been suggesting that this option is available on V4.6. I know that if I upgrade from V4.5 to V4.6, the option isn't available. A workaround is to install V4.5 first, select the option, and then upgrade to V4.6. I doubt that doing a clean installation will make this option available. So far no user says that.

libOmxVdec.so and libOmxVidEnc.so are proprietary files. So you don't need anyone's permission to use them.
Well, maybe we need Google's permission since those proprietary files come from a Nexus One phone. ;)
Paste your logcat to GitHub Gist or any similar websites, and link it in your post if you need any help. (Don't forget to tell us your HD2 setup/configuration.)

  • Updated CM-11.0 M9+ (KTU84Q) source code.
  • Fixed the black screen issue by using the classic webkit for legacy devices. (Credit: walter79 and legaCyMod)
  • Updated to Gmail 4.9
  • Updated to YouTube 5.9.0.13
  • Updated to Google Maps 8.3.1
  • Updated to Google Play Store 4.9.13
  • Updated to Google Play services 5.0.89
  • Updated to Google Search 3.6.14.133
  • Updated to the latest hosts file (August-20-2014) for blocking ads.
  • Increased the required system space to 320 MB (Full installation).
