It seems OK to me using Tapatalk. I highlight your message, select reply and I only get 1 quote:

Your reply had Tytung's post, followed by mine. This one has you, me and Tytung. If we keep replying we'll have 10 MB of quotes followed by "okay..."

OK I understand. Others have same problem. Maybe try this (not tested) fix

BTW, did you ever use eMosbat TinyMCE Integration (WYSIWYG editor)?
Is it good or not? E.g., too heavy or not?
I think the default editor is not user-friendly.

Fascinating! When I first click QUOTE I see all quotes in the editor - more than one - but if I click preview or save only one quote remains. Confusing but it seems to work.

Yes that it what the mod says should happen. If I find an alternative I will advise.
Not heard of Tinymce but I will check it out
