AFAIK, 1.5GHz is a 'fake' value which uses different calculation conversion. CPU freq. 1.19GHz is the max value for HD2.

benlm72 wrote:Hi all,
I've sometimes faced a strange problem with this rom. Suddenly, or after a reboot :
- lockscreen doesn't run (waking the phone leads direcly to launcher)
- I've no notification in the left part of the top notification bar (incoming sms, call, app notifications)
- no notifications too when I pull down the notification bar
- power off menu no more includes sound and airplane options, although that are checked in the settings
- long press on the home button no more leads to recent apps (even if the physical button option is set in system settings)
- in fact, pressing the phone button or the home button has no effect. The three others are OK

I've each time tried to reinstall the build, it had no effect, problems still here. Till yesterday the only workaround I had found was to restore a backup of the rom, from another rom (with NativeSDM).

But yesterday, facing the same problem, I manage to avoid reinstalling all the rom by simply restoring system parameters previously backed-up with Titanium Backup.

Hoping this info could help.

I don't have any strange problems as you said.
Please do a fresh install and don't restore anything.
Everything should work correctly.
Then restore data (cannot be system) parts previously backed-up with Titanium Backup.

Hi tytung,
Thank's for the advice ! It's one of the workarounds I've found, but in this case I have a lot of things to reinstall ! The way I talk about enables me not all to reinstall or restore. But I keep in mind your advice as the "last" solution !

I only used Titanium Backup long time ago. Maybe Titanium Backup v4.x period. I'm not sure the quality of the newer Titanium Backup.

The best way to keep everything while using my NexusHD2 series is to upgrade from the previous ROM. It's not required to reinstall anything.

It has been a long time since this topic so my memory may well be faulty or not so accurate.. :-[ As I recall, Qualcomm never released any info about pll limits, multiplier limits, oscillator limit or internal clock logic (hardware) for rounding of clocks and keeping them in limit.

The so called faster speeds of the HD2 overclock, as I understand it, is not an actual overclock - that is, it is actually 1198 (1602 but with 1350mv). The CPU can't work faster. If we set higher clock to frequencies the CPU will stall.

So, it is not really 1.6Mhz, just more scaling and more voltage than was the 1198 by default.

You can refer to the avs.c in arch/arm/mach-msm/ and acpu-scorpion.c (the name may be slightly different)

Cheers!

Just wanna know if others have the same problem and know what to do to avoid this. I've used Tytung's JB V2.4, V2.5, and V2.6. All versions worked for few days and then screen went blank. Keys still lights up when pressed but screen is still blank. I took battery out to reset, but phone does not boot up anymore. It is stuck at HTC logo. I was using native SD, different sandisk cards each time. Anyone encountered this and know what to do to avoid this, please advise. Thanks in advance.

I had similar problems with a sandisk UHS1 SD card and some other ROMs. Since I'm using a Transcend Class 10 SD-Card these problems are gone.

How long did you wait at the HTC logo? The reason I ask, is that I have noted that on occassion, it looked like it was stuck, but, out of curiosity, I waited a bit longer, and after a while, the boot animation launched. No idea why it happened, nor why it doesn't happen all the time.

The same has happened to me. I think it is from the disk checking done by TWRP. There is a setting in TWRP, and probably in other recoveries, to check partitions every certain number of boots. The bigger your SD card, the longer the check will take.
