Thanks for the information. However, it still doesn't explain why there is no web video playback. It doesn't support Hardware-accelerated Flash but it definitely supports Flash.

For me, I use Opera to watch videos in a browser. Nor stock browser, nor Dolphin Brower manage to show videos. It seems Firefox can watch videos to, but I haven't tried.
For Youtube, you can to use theoSo mod here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthr ... ?t=1529715

Thanks for the info, will try to get an old YouTube app apk.
I have found that using the native stock browser, if you put the video in full screen mode, it will then load and play (worked with YouTube on the web), If you try to play it in regular mode, it wont. Strange.

Yes Firefox can play flash videos, but you have to install the flashplayer apk (no more available at play store, but at xda)

Hi Andropest, is the Transcend a UHS-1 also? What size are you using? Do you have the model number? How long have you been using this? Thanks!

It's not an UHS-1 sd-card, only class 10.
I don't have a model number at the moment. The article description was:

"Transcend Extreme-Speed Class 10 microSDHC 32GB"

I'm using this card since about 4 months without any problems.

The card is very fast (R/W) not only for big files but also for small ones (e.g. 512 Bytes). That's a very important factor if you install an OS on the card.
If you want, I can post a photo of the card.

Does anyone else have issues with the version of Google Maps (7.1.0) that's included in this ROM? I've noticed that it's fine (albeit sluggish) upon using it the first time, but something like a day later it's practically unusable. The map display would jump all over the place, voice navigation doesn't seem to work, and the app is generally very slow to respond. The phone also seems to get very hot when the app is in use and discharges far more rapidly than normal/expected given the task.

I'm thinking I'm either newbing it somewhere or it's a Google issue like with what happened with the YouTube app. However, seeing how 7.1.0 is the stock version that's included in this ROM and how there's so far no peep from anyone else about any such problems, maybe I'm the only one. :?

In any case I uninstalled 7.1.0, found the apk for 6.14.4 and am using that.

Am I the only one...?

For me it's normal to get somewhat hotter and drain battery quicker when using Google maps. This was true in Windows too. You've got both GPS and radio broadcasting and the CPU and GPU working at maximum whenever it's running.
Current device: HTC Amaze 4G
Bootloader: HTC - Dev unlocked, S-on
Recovery: 4ext - smart flash enabled
ROM: CM-10 - Compiled and customized by me - thanks spostsstar89 - CM - Team Nightmare
Xposed framework - rovo89
GravityBox - C3C076

Previous device: HTC HD2 (TMOUS - LEO1024)
Final ROM: NexusHD2-JellyBean-CM10.1.3 v2.7 - Tytung
Had more lives than a cat, best handset I ever owned
Lesson: If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

I get that, but I'm talking about it becoming a "hot potato"/scorching kind of hot and the battery going from 94% down to 71% in about ten minutes/<5 miles, which just doesn't seem right, and that's ignoring the graphical and responsiveness issues. With 6.14.4, for instance, it behaves normally like you said, with the phone getting somewhat hotter and the battery draining somewhat quicker.

I got the same jumping issue on my and my wife's hd2. It's the same on Tytung's 4.3 ROM by the way...
So, you are, sadly, not the only one. :-(
