hd2 eu
now latest magldr from this site
nand with data on ext

kingstone class 10 12 GB fat32 & 2gb ext4
yeah when i re install the phone from the scratch ( hspl mgldr etc) it accept to install the rom but if any error appears & i needed to install it again it say that it cant open the zip file then installation aborted
so the solution i do is to remove the rom from sd then copy it again from my pc but i have to creat anew folder for it otherwise it wont install

I would guess your device's NAND memory has developed some bad blocks over the years. As a result writing to NAND becomes somewhat unpredictable and the symptoms depend on what exactly is being sent to the bad block at a given moment. Additionally, your SD card may also be experiencing some problems, though I am not sure. You may want to reformat or replace it if you can.

You can ascertain the bad blocks (number and location) curious. If I recall correctly, post 3 in the SD thread shown in my signature had info on it.

In any case, it is not overly important. Since you are using DataOnExt installation any NAND space beyond the 300 MB is wasted (unused). Change your system partition to, say, 400 MB, reformat your card with SD format and try it again.

Hey Tytung, first of all: great work! Your roms are great, and helping my HD2 to stay alive:D
But I have a problem, which I already had before with other roms. I have flashed this ROM from scratch, so I did a task29, installed MAGLDR, partitioned to 300MB system and 45MB cache, and flashed the rom via recovery. It is also working great, at least until i dont use the phone for some time, and then try to wake it pressing the powerbutton. Then i get a black screen with backlight, and i cant do anything but taking out the battery. As said this already happend before, but I have not found any solution until now. Only thing the last time was to use another sd-card, but i cant believe my sd-card is broken again. I also formatted and repartitioned the sd-card by the way, so I have 2gb ext4 partition.
Greetings, Jack

First of all - I do love your work!

But i have a strange issue.. I have installed yout ROM and then when I try tu use USB mass storage nothing happens. If I turn on the usb debbuging - I get an icon on Windows 7 as something is connected. But not the Sd card.. When I switch it off - and turn on the mass storage nothing happens. I think it is important that I use DATEonEXt version. What is strange - I used some SENSE verison od ROM and It worked perfectly - even with the ext. I think there is something missing? I am not so fluent in droid? But it suggests some missing kernel, driver?? Have you got any idea?

ok i read an article on how to check the bad blocks & i didnt found any thanks god the sd is new as the hd2 has only 2 weeks of custom roms ( yeah it's ex owner was using wm 6.5 & just used it for calling :D )
so i checked the SD sure for any bad sectors or any & i reformated it with easus & mini tool & made i surface scan
i know it's strange problem that's why i asked :(
i normally do a very deep search before i ask
anyway i dont wanna waste your time & thanks really for carin & if u got anything in mind please tell me

oh wait wait
i remembered something i hate when i miss something
i faced something like that on samsung hard disk (500gb external hard)
as it lose data after certain amount of data on that case was more than 220 GB or something so i guess it's the stupid SD card ( i hate Kingston but i didn't find sandisk or transcend :( )

Your SD card may be not broken.
But HD2 doesn't like some brands of SD cards if you use NativeSD or DataOnEXT methods.
Paste your logcat to GitHub Gist or any similar websites, and link it in your post if you need any help. (Don't forget to tell us your HD2 setup/configuration.)

I used NativeSD and didn't have any USB mass storage issue.
Please try NativeSD first.

Well as said this happened before with a different sd-card, and now I have a sandisk 32GB class 10 card, which I believe many HD2 users have? And some times a Rom runs perfectly for a long time, and when I switch rom or update the existing it happens again...
