The other could be an issue where the tiny copper pins that contact the back of the case can bend over time and cause some signal loss. The solution is to carefully unscrew and remove the back, exposing the contacts, then very gently prying them up a tiny bit. You must use extreme care as they're very fragile. I did this procedure on my old HD2 and it significantly improved both data and WiFi reception.

1. You have set the recovery partition size to "filesize". Although this will likely work it is not a good idea since it will create a partition which is big enough only for the recovery you are installing. Should you ever want to install a bigger recovery you will have to wipe your phone. A better idea is a fixed size of 6-10 MB to allow for newer versions of recovery.
   
   
2. You changed the system partition size to 285. Depending on your device you *may* need larger (i.e. if you have bad blocks in NAND). If you are using DataOnEXT installation method you can go *much* larger since none of the space in 'userdata' will be used by anything.
   
   
3. You are specifying 5MB for cache partition - although this will not do any harm it is not needed. 2 MB is more than enough for this.
