Look my previous post. Just Edited

EDIT:

Wow. This is really strange :?

I made a mark with a post-it on my screen to see if the height of the navigation bar changes. And indeed it does. Whenever I start an app or am in app drawer or settings the Navbar in portrait mode is 24 high. Only in the home screens of the launcher the Navbar goes to 30 height.

In landscape the Navbar height is ever 30 high unindependent if I'm in an app, drawer settings or home screens. Really, really strange :?:?

I now see what you are talking about. I use the Nova Launcher and it does not exhibit the problem. I switched to Trebuchet, and it behaves as you describe; the navigation bar gets taller on the home screen, but is the correct height everywhere else. I'll start looking to see if I can figure out why.

EDIT - I switched back to Nova and it exhibited the problem. I did a restart of Nova using its settings menu and the problem cleared. The phone was not rebooted.

I can confirm this behavior. When no app is active and the phone is in portrait mode on the home desktop, the size of the bar grows larger by several points in height, but the icons themselves remain the same. The height of this bar seems to be the same as when the phone is switched to landscape mode. I hope this helps.

Thanks for the wonderful NexusHD2 ROMs. My HD2 (T-MObile LEO) had Nexsus 4.0.4 before installing the 4.2.2. Both versions act the the same way. I have questions on the behavior of Portable WiFI HotSpot. The very first time enabling, it will turn it on then turn it off right away. The 2nd time enabling, it will stay on and work beautifully. Thereafter, turn if off and on as expected without 2nd trying. After that, whether HotSpot is on or off, my phone can't access the data (no connection), though data connection is detected. To get back the Data connection after using WiFi HotSpot requires a reboot. Can you comment on the observations? Is there a way to get back data connection without rebooting the HD2?

I haven't done a task29 in ages. In most cases all you're doing is wearing out your nand faster. With extended TWRP in the settings section you can choose to have it 'rm -f' instead of reformatting when doing a clean install or a wipe. This is much better for your nand and will prolong its serviceability.

Now as far as improving battery up time, the best things you can do is to dim your screen, turn off all radios that aren't in use, and kill apps that aren't in use or running in the background. It's these things that will stretch it out. Realtime streaming video playback consumes battery faster than just about anything else you can do on your phone besides intense gaming.

Now, i'm using NexusHD2-JellyBean-CM10.1.2 V2.4 [Kernel: tytung_jellybean_r2] because it seem stable with my HD2. v2.6 have a little bit bug :|, But i really love the 24dp navigation bar, do you have any update of navigation bar for v2.4 or older version?

What bug did you find? You should report that. Actually, V2.6 should have less bugs because it is built from a more up-to-date source code.

Thanks for continuing to work on the NexusHD2 series of ROMs! :D

Just a few observations with v2.6:

Performance is drastically improved from v2.5 on my HD2 using NativeSD, particularly apparent when running more resource-intensive apps like Chrome and Facebook. Both aforementioned apps still run like... unpleasant things, but that's on them and not the ROM.

The graphical artifacting/flickering/jittering present in v2.5 in certain apps like Google Maps and occasionally in menus and the navigation bar is no longer present in v2.6.

Can confirm bug in navigation bar height in desktop portrait mode.

Can confirm YouTube app v5.0.21 not being able to play videos.

Installation via NativeSD is still a chore in regards to getting mobile data working. Every version I've used so far in the NexusHD2 series (i.e. CM10 v1.4a and v1.5, CM10.1 v2.4, v2.5, and v2.6) involves the following routine (give or take a step) to get it working:

Flash ROM via 4EXT Recovery onto NativeSD with PPP selected, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, no data.
Reflash ROM, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, "Android is upgrading xx out of 83 apps", no data.
Reflash ROM, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, "Android is upgrading xx out of 83 apps", no data.

I'm wondering if the new feature (i.e., minimize your video and search for the next one) is the raw cause that makes video to stop playing.
Maybe someone can check whether or not there's the same issue in other legacy devices, e.g. Desire, Nexus One, etc.

I have the same issue on Desire, logcat => http://db.tt/OOOxUYar

Regarding the graphical artifacting/flickering/jittering issue, I backported some GPU related code (ADRENO_DECIDE_TEXTURE_TARGET), but forgot to enable it (didn't add BOARD_ADRENO_DECIDE_TEXTURE_TARGET := true into BoardConfig.mk) when building a ROM.
I enabled it in v2.6, and I think it takes effect.

I don't use Haret, so I have no idea.
Paste your logcat to GitHub Gist or any similar websites, and link it in your post if you need any help. (Don't forget to tell us your HD2 setup/configuration.)
