Thanks for providing the logcat and confirming this YouTube issue.
I saw the same error in the HD2's logcat.

Hi. This is my first post and I can tell you that this ROM is the best one ever used on HTC HD2.

Just a little question; MTP is not working on this ROM. When I select MTP it switches back to Mass storage automatically. Any idea about this behavior?

MTP is not supported by this kernel.
In my opinion, Mass storage is more convenient than MTP.

I agree too that Mass Storage is much better and faster than MTP but while using USB Mass Storage it is impossible to use Sweeper App.

This 2.6 ROM made my HTC HD2 back to life and made me buy another HTC HD2 mobile phone as a spare :)

Softkey Mods

Postby agbommarito » Sun Aug 25, 2013 12:58 am

The landscape softkey mod has been updated to fix the problem with the navigation bar height being too tall on launcher home pages. This problem occurred with the Trebuchet and Apex launchers, but not with the Nova launcher.

I've updated the download file in the original post, the one that is linked to the OP, or you can click here http://androidforum.tytung.com/nexushd2-jellybean-cm10-1-t1-380.html#p1229 to jump to that post.

Flash the update file from recovery. You can flash on top of the previous mod.

Installation via NativeSD is still a chore in regards to getting mobile data working. Every version I've used so far in the NexusHD2 series (i.e. CM10 v1.4a and v1.5, CM10.1 v2.4, v2.5, and v2.6) involves the following routine (give or take a step) to get it working:

Flash ROM via 4EXT Recovery onto NativeSD with PPP selected, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, no data.
Reflash ROM, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, "Android is upgrading xx out of 83 apps", no data.
Reflash ROM, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, "Android is upgrading xx out of 83 apps", no data.
Reflash ROM, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, "Android is upgrading xx out of 83 apps", no data.
Reflash ROM, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, "Android is upgrading xx out of 83 apps", no data.
Reflash ROM, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, "Android is upgrading xx out of 83 apps", no data.
Reflash ROM, reflash "fails" after completing, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, "Android is upgrading xx out of 84 apps", data works.

Indeed, this works for me too. I now have a working data connection in version 2.6.

It seems to me that this must be a rather old feature. I remember people complaining about lack of data connection in earlier versions, but I did not pay much attention then since my data was working nicely (2G/3G/HSDPA/HSUPA). I have only had data problems with the last two versions 2.5 and 2.6. (I also do remember that someone recommended PPP as a remedy in the old formum for some old versions.)

In the case of v2.5 I did not recognize this a a "data problem", since I immediately run into the "reflash fails", i.e., the new version did not boot properly. Whenever I tried to start it up with haret it alwas rebooted before even coming to the boot animation. When I flashed version 2.5 the second time I chose to erase not only the Dalvik cache, but also to do a factory reset. I then did get a working data connection. I now realize that it was probably not because I did the factory reset, but because this was the "first reflashing after the previous reflash failed".

Then approximately one week ago I installed v2.6, which was otherwise working nicely, but no data connection. I tried to reboot several times, but it did not help. I had not backuped v2.5, so I simply reflashed v2.5 without the factory reset, and I did get my data connection back.

Three days ago I made another attempt. I flashed v2.6 without the factory reset, and again lost my data connection. I tried rebooting the phone several times with or without WiFi, or call forwarding, or active data connection, but nothing helped. So I then reflashed v2.5, wiping only the Dalvik cache. However, unlike the previous time, this time I did NOT get the data back, but instead I had lost the data connection also in v2.5. Next I flashed v2.6 with factory reset, hoping to get data that way, but run into the "reflash fails" for v2.6. Next I flashed v2.5 without factory reset, and I did get data back. I left it at that point, considered data in v2.6 to be a hopeless project for me. I was happy to have a working v2.5.

After reading the above post by achensherd I started to repeatedly flash v2.6 without factory reset:

Flash ROM via 4EXT Recovery onto NativeSD with PPP selected, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, no data.
Reflash ROM, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, "Android is upgrading xx out of 122 apps", no data.
Reflash ROM, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, "Android is upgrading xx out of 115 apps", no data.
Reflash ROM, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, "Android is upgrading xx out of 122 apps", no data.
Reflash ROM, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, flashing fails, and v2.6 simply reboots without boot animation.
Reflash ROM, reboot, boot ROM via Haret, "Android is upgrading xx out of 123 apps", with data.

So I now DO HAVE DATA in v2.6. Once data starts working it appears to be quite stable.

Is there an update needed for v3.0?
